Icelandair’s funny commercial: “Easy to stop, hard to leave”

The Icelandair commercial is a fun campaign to feature some of the best places in Iceland.

Nordic advertising has always left us memorable campaigns. From the vindicating advert for the Icelandic women’s soccer team; going through Airbnb commercial in Sweden. 

Now, Icelandair has launched a new global campaign to promote the company’s stopover booking in the country and showcasing the best places in the country along the way. And it is that since 1960 the company has been offering its clients an option to book a stopover in Iceland on all their trips.

“Easy to stop, hard to leave” has been carried out by the Pablo London agency and produced by Somesuch. He tells us the story of Oliver, who is missing when boarding his stopover in Iceland on his way to Paris. With an ironic and humorous tone, the stewardess begins to search and call the lost passenger throughout the country. The Icelandair ad shows various Icelandic locals and the country’s majestic landscapes. The idea is to show how difficult it is to leave the country once you have set foot in it.
