“Distribute”, Flex’s funny commercial in a delicate situation

The Flex commercial narrates the breakup of a couple and how the objects are distributed at home.

Lately, advertising has played a channeling role for our emotions. The pandemic is subsiding but the consequences it is leaving are still noticeable today in advertising campaigns. Brands care about our state of mind and for this they present us with transcendental stories.

That’s why we loved this Flex commercial. And it is that we missed these costumbrista adverts capturing the small moments of life, even if they are in moments of separation from a couple.

This is what “Distribute” does, the advert for Flex made by the Chinese creative agency, directed by Félix Fernández de Castro and produced by Blank Films. He tells us a little everyday story when a couple decides to separate and share the household items.

With a close and humorous touch, Flex wants to continue positioning itself as a reference brand for rest for Spaniards. And in “Distribute” we see how the couple is placing post-its to those objects that belong to them: furniture, records, the dog and other objects that are synonymous with discord. Until the time comes to share the mattress, and in which a hint of doubt arises in the man about the decision they must make.

The Chinese creative agency comments: “Flex’s confidence has opted for a good story with which to talk about the quality and superiority of its product. From the beginning, agency, client and producer shared the same vision of how the spot should be” .
