Coca-Cola’s action encourages us to leave a message for your future self
“Message in a Coke” is the title of the Coca-Cola action carried out internally in the company
Companies are increasingly faced with the growing challenge of maintaining the motivation and well-being of their employees. Stress, work overload and emotional disconnection have become structural problems for many companies.
To avoid these future problems, Coca-Cola has carried out an internal action within the company called “Message in a Coke” in which the company asked 17 young workers to leave a tip for someone else. What they didn’t know was that they were sending a message to themselves in the future.
“Message in a Coke” is the title of the Coca-Cola campaign carried out by Creative Disorder Studio in Serbia. The aim is to combat the discouragement that workers may feel in the future.
According to research, it is estimated that the first symptoms of work fatigue begin to be detected at 7 years of age. It is essential that companies take this problem seriously, so that they can create work spaces that promote balance, well-being and open communication.
To do this, they selected 17 young employees for this action. They encouraged them to leave a piece of advice for someone else when, in reality, they were leaving a message for themselves in the future. The company carefully edited their messages and codified them on 17 unique Coca-Cola bottles that they could only consult in 7 years.
Coca-Cola’s internal action was so well received that the brand has incorporated it as a long-term project in the company’s employment programs.
